Industrial waste for sale: leather scraps

Among the many types of industrial waste produced is leather scraps. We partner with Broadway Leather Co. to put these scraps to good use. For example, a leather hobbyist can make a pair of watch straps from a small piece of leather approximately 1 square feet.

Above in the photo is the remaining edge from a grey sheet of leather that is unusable for use due to its size. It cannot be used to craft an item as huge as a laptop sleeve cover, neither is it long enough for belts etc. It is, however, good for watch straps, bracelets, charms etc.

The two sheets of lamb skin in the above photo leaves behind a fairly good scrap size for making traveler’s notebook after the main portion has been used to make a laptop sleeve for an ultrabook.

Colours like pink don’t come by often. After two notebook covers, this scrap remains to be upcycled by a future potential diy hobbyist.
